Fori-level Portable Ultrasonic Liquid Level Indicator is a handheld measurement device for fire extinguisher liquid level monitoring. It allows crew to conduct non-invasively monitor the liquid level of CO2, FM-200™, Novec™ 1230 fire suppression system.
The International Maritime Organization (IMO)
under MSC.1/Circ.1318/Rev.1, ISO 14520-1, NFPA 2001, NFPA 12, sets requirements for verifying cylinder levels in fixed CO₂ fire suppression systems.
- Frequency: during intermediate, periodical, or renewal surveys.
- Verification Methods: Weighing, ultrasonic liquid level measurement, or radioactive liquid level measurement.
- Tolerance & Refilling: Refill required if any cylinder drops below 90% of its nominal charge.
- Requirement: Fire suppression systems must carry equipment to measure cylinder contents.
